Miacun Car Rental Terms and Conditions

🚗 1. Area of Use

The rented vehicle may only be used within the states of Quintana Roo and Yucatán.
Leaving these regions is strictly prohibited under any circumstance.

🧑‍✈️ 2. Minimum Age and Required Documents
• Minimum driver age: 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license (with Latin characters)
• Passport or INE (Mexican ID)
• Proof of residence:
 ▫ Hotel reservation or
 ▫ Utility bill (e.g., electricity or water)

💳 3. Payment and Deposit
• Payment can be made by credit/debit card or in cash
• A security deposit of 8,000 Mexican pesos is required
 ▫ The deposit is refunded if the vehicle is returned without damage
 ▫ Refund time depends on the client’s card-issuing bank

🛡️ 4. Insurance
• Includes basic liability insurance (Responsabilidad Civil)
• Full coverage available upon request for an additional cost (subject to availability)

⛽ 5. Fuel Policy
• The vehicle is delivered with a specific fuel level
• It must be returned with the same level of fuel
• If the fuel is below the required level, a charge of 50 MXN per liter applies
• No refund is given for excess fuel

🧼 6. Vehicle Cleanliness
• The vehicle must be returned clean inside and out
• If returned dirty, a 300 MXN basic cleaning fee will be charged
• For excessive interior dirt, $20 USD will be deducted from the deposit, and any deep cleaning costs are the renter’s responsibility
• If traveling with pets, please maintain the cleanliness of the car to avoid additional cleaning charges

⏰ 7. Late Return
• A 30-minute grace period is allowed
• After that:
 ▫ $15 USD per additional hour (up to 2 hours)
 ▫ More than 2 hours late: a full day of rental will be charged

❌ 8. Reservation Cancellation
• Cancellations more than 72 hours before pickup: no penalty
• Cancellations between 48 and 72 hours before pickup: 10% penalty
• Cancellations less than 48 hours before pickup: non-refundable

👥 9. Additional Drivers and Extras
• 2 drivers are included free of charge
• Extra drivers are subject to an additional fee
• Available upon request:
 ▫ Child or baby seat
 ▫ Home delivery or pickup of the vehicle — charged based on distance

🔁 10. Vehicle Return Location
• The vehicle must be returned to the same location where it was delivered (Cancun)
• Returning the vehicle to another location requires prior authorization and an additional delivery fee

🚨 11. Accidents, Violations, and Roadside Assistance
• In case of an accident or traffic violation, the renter assumes full responsibility
• Fines, towing, or damages are not covered by basic insurance
• The renter must immediately notify the police and Miacun
• 24/7 roadside assistance is included (subject to availability):
 ▫ Tire service, jump-start, towing (cost: 500 MXN per day if towing is needed)
